In a place where gluten free sprouted bread dominate the menus, Shuk Bakery on 40 Mitchell Street in North Bondi is bringing back the traditional bakery, offering a variety of sourdough breads, pastries and cakes.
'We want to maintain the techniques and the flavours of a traditional bakery but also provide guests with Israeli flavour combinations' co founder Yoni Kalfus explains'.
SHUK Bakery has always baked everything from scratch whether it is Turkish Bread dipped in Hummus to traditional sourdough the moto is that great food is made from scratch. That way there is always room to tweak the breads to suit the dishes they are served with.
